Mental Health First Aid® is building safer and more caring communities across Maryland. Just as CPR trains people to help someone in a physical crisis, Mental Health First Aid® teaches people how to recognize and respond to a person experiencing a mental health or substance use concern or crisis and to connect them to appropriate care.
IAFF Recovery Center
The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind treatment facility specializing in PTSD for professional fire service members who struggle with trauma, substance use, addiction and other related behavioral health challenges. It is a safe haven for members to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery and share experiences with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.

This confidential app provides Emergency Workers a safe place to connect and chat anonymously with each other. Available 24/7, ResponderRel8 provides a platform for Emergency Responders and Frontline Medical Workers to connect with others who have similar lived experience, normalizing the stressors and challenges of the job while increasing connection.

Code Green Campaign Resources
The Code Green Campaign® is a first responder oriented mental health advocacy and education organization. Also known as Code Green, they serve all types of first responders. This includes firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, police, corrections, air medical, and search & rescue.
First Responder Center for Excellence
The FRCE is dedicated to protecting the lives and livelihoods of first responders, nationwide. Their education and research initiatives constantly shed new light on challenges to the health, safety and well-being of firefighters, EMS personnel and other first responders.
